Supply Chain Lead

Job Summary

Participate in the strategic decision-making activities that help shape and guide the future of the organization. There is direct responsibility for the performance of the entire supply chain, which includes the Purchasing, Receiving, Stock Room, Warehouse, Shipping, and Logistics teams.

Duties and Essential Job Functions

    • Ensure team members are focused on TSF Core Values daily & staying BCD-Free
    • LMA (Leadership, Management, Accountability)
    • Develop and execute supply chain strategies, which are in alignment with the overall company strategy.
    • Assess, manage, and mitigate risks across the entire supply chain.
    • Monitor supplier delivery and performance.
    • Work with management team to find ways to optimize strategic purchasing methods.
    • Develop systems to allow easier and better management of inventory.
    • Right-size inventory to guarantee adequate supply of materials is available to meet the market lead-time expectations.
    • Direct daily work assignments of the supply chain department (Purchasing, Receiving, Stock Room)
    • Submit maintenance requests as needed to the
    • Maintenance Department.
    • Maintain clean department workstations and equipment.
    • Inspect work of department employees.
    • Assist in development and motivation of staff through technical and behavioral training
    • Interpret company policies to workers and maintain a safe and healthy work environment
    • Recommend measures to improve quality of service and efficiency of department, work crew and equipment.
    • Answer customer / vendor inquiries as needed
    • Participate in daily production meeting as needed
    • Ability to operate forklifts and pallet jacks as needed
    • Provide daily and weekly feedback to Supply Chain team.
    • Organize and conduct employee performance reviews.
    • Track individual and/or company (KPIs) / metrics. Strive for daily improvements.
    • Other duties as assigned.

Academic Competencies

    • 4-Year College Degree or Equivalent
    • 5+ years’ experience in Supply Chain
    • Management experience
    • 3+ years’ experience with Data Analytics

    • Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets
    • Must be able to problem solve and adjust as needed to complete orders / tasks
    • Flexible and adaptable to change jobs and material as needed to keep jobs flowing
    • Proficient with computers, Microsoft Office & ERP/MRP systems
    • Assures compliance with appropriate safety practices and procedures and with applicable federal, State, and local codes, OSHA regulations and requirements

Environmental Conditions

    • Exposure to odor, noise, dust, heat, cold, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
    • Humidity level in factory may be elevated during summer months

Additional Requirements

    • BCD (Blaming, Complaining & Defending) is NOT tolerated
